Good day friends! I pray your week and weekend went well and this post finds you safe and healthy!
There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest…” Hebrews 4:9-11a
I am sharing with you today that I will be having a Sabbath-rest for the month of August which will include abstaining from writing and posting the devotional blogs. It has been over two years since I have taken a Sabbath-rest, and now with the pandemic on its way out (Lord willing), I feel that I can.
As mentioned in my devotion last week, we are coming into an exciting time of church renewal and it is my utmost desire to be ready and to prepare for helping serve in ways that will help meet the needs of my church. However, I am feeling I need a time to prayerfully consider what that may look like and I am finding that I am needing time to get back to just resting in the Lord during my morning times of devotion with him in order to truly seek his will for me.
There is one thing I ask of you. If you are seeking a devotion on a particular piece of scripture or focus, please send me a message. I will use your requests, as best I can, to guide my devotions over this upcoming year.
With renewed focus and clarity, I look forward to enjoying a CoffeeTime with you on Monday, September 6, 2021. God’s continued blessings to you!
