Ready Yourself – HOPE

Wait Patiently in this hope of yours: For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. Romans 8:24-25

“I hope I’m going to Heaven. I think I am.”

Have these words ever entered your mind or come across your lips?

Well, take heart! In Jesus, you never need to question your eternal home. It is not the things you’ve done or haven’t done, but it’s what God has done because of his love for you. In sending Jesus to pay the penalty that your sin deserves; in his life, suffering, death, and resurrection, you have been brought back into life eternal with God. There is no question. This is your eternal hope. Be at peace. Be patient. And in all things seek and rest in your Saviour.

Take time this week to rest in this eternal hope. Think about all that Jesus has done for you because of his love for you. Take any questioning or doubt to him in repentance and pray that he fills you with his peace and patience. Imagine what you will do when you arrive in his presence. Practice patiently living in this assured hope as you go through the tasks of this week.

  1. I think at the end of the writing on the photo you might have wanted it to say I will never leave you rather than I will never love you?

    1. Hi Sara! I am just reading your message now. So sorry for the delayed reply.

Yes, you are absolutely correct. Thankfully I did change it that morning.

Thank you for your second set of eyes on my behalf. I appreciate it. Blessings to you as we enter the previous season of Advent.
